Default Automatic to 5 Speed SWAP IS Done, HUGE THANKS to DNR Performance *PICS*

Before GAY Auto, but it did run a 14.67 @ 99.7 mph on a gtec run (Not a real track time i know)
My Automatic Tranny in the Trunk + my other parts

^^ Clutch before installed
My sifter, gsr *** will do for now

Just for fun

Just for fun, my firends car

All and All, I love the 5 speed, havn't reved it past 4k yet, im braking in the new clutch, it's nice, HUGE Thanks go to quickhatch who took a 2 hour lunch brake to finsh getting my flywheel resurfaced, couldn't of done it without him.
DNR Performance in hayward that hooked a cool *** price on the swap + good work, i want to have a melt sheet welded over the holes in the car, does anyone know a place that can do it for me, i just put duct tape over it, so i don't drop my cell phone or something on the street when im drivin + mad air comes in that.

I give it
5/5 They did a good *** work and were hella cool about it, dave and 2pac and the dnr crew were mad cool.

congrats. how much did dnr charge you? imo, i think you should have done it yourself... much more of a learning experience and definately easier on the wallet.

^^ call em and get a quote, depends, i got all the parts for the most part, so that made it a bit easyer on them. Im a very cheap person, i got the full swap + labor under 950, but i had madhookups on parts

Nice job, not an easy swap. I did it in my car, a 5 speed conversion is more a wheight reduction then anything else, the automatic tranny is a monster!

i did it on my civic as well. hard job but a good learning experience. i had help though. it all cost me like $1200 for the job cuz i payed loot to get some of the pieces cuz i wanted real good quality parts, not just stuff outta the junkyard. anyway, as far as that hole in the floor where the automatic linkage was, i had my friend make a template of it and cut me a 1/4 inch or so thick piece of metal to just lay down right over it and the edges of the carpet under there hold it right in place. put on the console with shift boot and never feel the hot air at all or hear any leaks. another friend of mine just did his and he just got a piece of metal and siliconed it in place. another good idea and a cheaper and easier solution to welding. hope this helps.....lata

quick question, did you use an auto or manual ecu?
and what did you do about the IM and TB differences?

Very Accurate
Nordskog performance LED Digital Boost Pressure 0 -16 psi-RED Display
Nordskog performance LED Digital Fuel Pressure 0 - 100 psi-RED Display
They cost alot, but are worth it, u have to buy the senders + the gauges = mad bank, but they are very nice

quick question, did you use an auto or manual ecu? Manual ECU DX 99 ECU, i have a 2k 99-00 ecus are all the same but the 96-98 are different
and what did you do about the IM and TB differences? I used a ex tb becuase my dx was very laggy, i already have a aftermarket intake manifold, and i used the open hole for boost
