Re: automatic to 5 speed conversion (4door93civic)
ok, before you hear it... do a search. its covered many times....
THERE. i have already stated it politely so everybody...no need for the flaming and "do a SEARCH n00b" posts...
to be helpful....what car are you doing the conversion in? and if you dont know what your doing very well. it is a very big project. if it is a cable tranny (88-91 cars) then it will be a little easier, but then again, you wouldnt be posting in this forum.
you'll need to change the tranny, ecu, pedal cluster, get a clutch, get a flywheel, get manual transmission flywheel bolts(longer threads), get shift linkage, shifter stablizer bar, shifter, shift boot, shift ****, manual tranny cluster(not needed, but that way you dont have the auto line in the cluster), instal a master cylinder for the clutch with a resevoir(if hydro tranny), run hydrolic line for the tranny. get a slave cylinder for the tranny, i think the engine harness should work? axels and engine mounts.. i think the manual and auto are the same? maybe not? i might be forgetting something? but yes, very big job.
