Auto Transmission Bell Housing
Ok this weekened i've been trying to swap my auto transmission for my D16Z6...
I kept running into problem after problem
Heres the last problem we got
We got all the bolts out of the housing but cant seem to get it disconnected...If anyone knows how to disconnect it as well as have pictures that'll be great...remember this is for a Automatic transmission from a 92 Civic EX.(D16z6)

are you sure you removed all the bolts? There's one like behind the tranny facing the firewall. make sure you removed all the torque mounts and tranny mounts. You might have to pry the tranny back--towards the wheel well to clear the dowel pins and drop the tranny aftwards.

the end of the transmission there is a special plug that you remove with a 1/2 inch ratchet, inside there is a snap ring you need to remove. it holds the main shaft onto the outer case.

for those of you following around, the file I sent shows you take off the cover in the first pic, remove the gears and then take the whole thing apart.

Yeah. I've been trying crack down on what the hell is holding the bellhousing. Been studying the FSM for some time now. Can't seem to be getting anywhere. I need to find me an auto tranny to tinker with.
