auto tranny won't shift!
 

I have a 92eg hatch, and in the morning, it won't shift out of second. When it finally decides to get it's act together, it makes a loud noise (sounds like when you hit a puddle) and then it will finally shift. I noticed that when it makes the noise, my speedomoter needle moves with the noise...that makes me wonder if it's my computer that's screwed up, or my tranny. Anyone have any suggestions???

change the fluid recently at all? try flushing it...

Honda Automatics suck. Try flushing it and see what happens. Maybe it's time for a Manual Transmission swap.

Yeah, actually I was going to do that...but I'm too poor to buy all the crap I need to do it...someone was going to actually give me an ex 5 speed, but it was $600 to buy all the stuff to go with it, so I didn't take it. Oops.

No, it was in a red bottle, I don't remember what he said it was, it comes in a blue bottle too for newer cars...whatever it was, it worked.

well, traded the car in, so no more tranny problem! Got me a 94 del sol! 5 speed, so hopefully I won't have problems with it.
