Hey, I have a 95 EX auto with a greddy turbo. And Auto does bog u down a bit, but back when I was stock and no turbo my AT could beat their 5 speed counterparts. But yeah ur better off swapping or converting, I'm not trying to bring ur hopes down but I went that route and still am. I went through 2 AT trannys b4 the turbo and, no I never neutral dropped, but it wore the hell out of it. This was in the course of a year. After I went turbo, my tranny began to die and died a few days ago. Now I'm stuck having to shift my new tranny due to it being an AT 6th gen tranny. I'm waiting till my HB is back from the shop then my coupe is going in for its 5 Speed conversion. Then its going to be sold. But down the line I did try a torque converted from Level 10 it was like $400 and it helped alot, but I never purchased the tranny kit to make it stronger so I still killed the tranny. But here is the deal u can get the whole Level 10 kit for under $1k or u can spend that and convert. It may be worth doing so in the long run, but hey its nice being able to beat a 5 Speed and then showing them they just got owned by an AT. My car ran 14.2 with out the torque converter and never got it try it after that. I was running 5lbs and I was on street tires. I know for sure tha damn torque converter gave me a bring increase power. But it didnt last. U should check out thier site for more info. But be warned AT is just not meant to handle power. Good luck

I will admit. I am a die hard SOHC fan. I am trying new things however, a b-series. But I have had nitrous, turbo, and supercharger on my SOHC, all of which i have enjoyed, but i do drive a 5spd.
Honestly, you may want to consider a manual conversion if you wish to keep the SOHC motor. I will be a lot easier on your wallet. Manual trannys are just able to take more punishment than the autos.
