Default Auto to manual swap clarity

I've been wrapping up my 96 sedan auto to manual swap and i found a solution to the wiring that seems to combine the best of both worlds (the wiring that allows the car to believe it's in park). One write up suggests combining three wires into one... but you can't use the clutch safety switch that way.... and i believe the other write up shows how to wire in the safety switch.... but the write up tells you to pull something off the ignition. My method is to wire the small black/blue to the large black/redwire and wire that combo to one wire of the clutch safety. Then connect the large black/white wire to the other clutch safety wire and then the car won't start without the clutch in... and you can pull the key out too. It just seems simpler.
