auto to manual question?
i have a 00 civic ex auto, and planning to switch to manual myself,
i was wondering all the parts from a 95 civic ex manual would fit my car, like the shift linkage, pedals, etc. any other info that would help in my project would be greatly appreciated

it will fit. i wouldn't reccommend using the tranny. 92-95 trannies have weak shift forks, be careful with that. 96-00 are better. PM for more questions

maybe, maybe not.
i bought a spectre short shifter(20 bucks ), and it worked fine for me for 6 months. then my car got stolen
my friend spent 60 on his (OBX) and it broke in 2 months.

short shifters break b/c MOST of them are made out of aluminum. aluminum can't last very long, mostly due to the heat our cars give off. the aluminum expands and eventually breaks. find yourself a steel short shifter and enjoy it.

i think that this one is aluminum. i will probably make the change. i bought it b/c it looked good. I didn't buy it b/c it was a short shifter.

Re: auto to manual question? (redshad0w)
I did that swap in my Sol, My part list was
Shift Linkage and shifter
Flywheel
Clutch,
Tranny
5 speed starter
P28 ECU for manual
Slave and master cylinder for clutch
pedal essembly
front and rear tranny mounts
engine to tranny mount
a special auto to 5speed mount for the tranny ( the passenger side bracket is slanted up to you need to make that mount bracket strait or buy a special mount madefor the swap)
prolly need like a sheeet of aluminum to cover the whole and to make a new whole for the shifter
you need the clutch lines
a shift ****
prolly wanna get a center consol with a boot for the shifter because if not it will be hella loud.
Thats i think all i needed. Good luck with it, it was a biotch for me to find the parts but i did and it made my car a lot more fun and better to drive.
