Default Auto/Manual Intake Manifold Differences?

I'm just curious if there are any differences in the intake manifolds from a D16Y8 manifold from an auto, and one from a manual...

Yes the manual has IAC on the back and the auto does not. The auto is cast over. You can take it to a machine shop and have it machined out for the IAC to fit. Hope that helps!

The auto y8 manifold and the y7 manifold both have the 3-wire iacv on the throttle body. The manual y8 manifold has the holes in the back for the 2-wire iacv.

If you plan to do a y8 intake manifold swap and you have a y7, get the auto y8 manifold, it's higher flowing and you can reuse your throttle body so it's an easier install.

Ok the manifold I have is from an auto Civic EX, the motor is going into a '93 del Sol with a 5-speed. Refresh my memory, IAC is? I'm having a brain fart...

iacv = idle air control valve

My advice is limited to 96-00 civics so I'm not so sure of the setup on EG's.....

Right well I got the motor for $500 (51k) and then today got the manifold for $30, so I'll talk to the guy doing the swap about doing the machining, I'm sure if we need reference my Z6 manifold will work...
