You need:
- the pedal assemblies (at least the brake and clutch)
- clutch master cylinder with lines that runs to the slave cylinder on the transmission
- slave cylinder if the trans did not come with one
- 5 speed ecu so you have no code (will run fine, just have an auto. trans code)
- passenger side mount (auto car, 5 speed trans) from reputable company or drill the spotwelds and remove the passenger sisde body mount out of a 5 speed civic and reweld it in your car and use an oem 5 speed mount
- 5 speed trans torque mount (bolts to the trans) if it didn't come with one
- some experience with removing the dash and working on cars :D

To add a D16Z6 into the mix (I think that's what you are referring to as a small vtec block) you need to have the ecu from that engine, and also you need to wire up vtec to your ecu so its works properly. If you haven't worked on cars much, don't expect to finish it in a weekend. As a fairly skilled mechanic with almost any tool at my disposal it takes me about 6 - 8 hours to complete an auto to 5 speed conversion. With this being said, I have seen people take 6 months to get it done, and if this car is your DD, that would not be good. Good luck!

Well I don't charge much for the parts when people come to me for them, but I am sure some charge a pretty penny. I think I charged $250 for everything last time including the ecu and the oem body mount (not a hasport one). Your best bet would be to look in a pick a part slavage yard and pull everything yourself if you are so inclined. As for the mount, look on ebay...there are a ton of sources for the transmission mount if you go that route Good luck!
