Is there any way the 6th gen civics can get their own forum here on the site?
I get real fed-up reading about 5th gens on the civic forum.
E K Is what I am looking for.... Ferios,hatches, whatever....6th gen.
I doubt anyone else has had the ***** to ask, so I would like to know if it can be done.

There are 26 moderators on SpeedLV.com (I am one of them).

No on 6th gen
no on sohc
5th and 6th gens are pretty close, the MAJORITY of the heavily modified honda techers have 5th gens. so the 6th gen forum would be dead. its better to keep them together.
and there is no B series forum, so there will be no SOHC forum.

Honestly the main reason the 5th and 6th Gen Civics are not split up is because they are almost technically identical. Most of the swap info (except for wiring and a few mounts) are the same for both generations.
Suspension stuff is identical except for rear LCAs.
Also one thing you might not realize is that a lot of the guys here have had both a 5th gen and a 6th gen hatch at one time or has worked very closely with both.
This is good because if a guy that currently drives a 5th gen sees a tech Q about a 6th gen he may be able to better answer the Q than a lot of current 6th gen owners.
I'm not an Admin, but I am one of the Mods in this section of H-T and I can tell you a split will not happen.
I love both cars, so this forum is somewhat of an e-heaven for me.

I'm not too far behind you at 24.
This place is pretty tiiite though until you get p3NeD!!! by vtecvoodoo.
Seriously though, why would having a seperate 6th Gen forum cut down on the tired e-lingo that you mentioned?

Re: (ek four)
No, i wasnt meaning it was gonna cut down on the bad lingo.... (Seperation of 5th and 6th gen civic forums).
Two totally different topics, I was trying to say it would be neat to see purely 6th gen stuff..swaps/suspension/qtr. mile times/racing etc... for comparison.
And the other thing I was hinting at is stuff like this... STUNNA

That would make way more sense IMO.

1990-1993 Integra Forum.
Right now they're lumped in with the 1994-2001 Integras, which share little if any technical info at all.
The swaps are totally different, the trannies on the 90-93 are cable whereas 94-02 are hydro, no body parts or suspension parts are similiar enough to be 100% interchangable, etc.
Difference again with the civics is that the 92-00 are similiar in many instances, unlike 90-01 Integras.
