Do you have the jap version with the cig lighter on the left side? Or do you have the US version with the cig lighter on the right side. The US version uses a square ashtray.

The US versions look more rectangular to me. Anyway, here is a picture of both the US version and JDM version for reference.

little of topic .. but i have the same us version. did you have fitment issues and have to adjust it so there wasnt a gap in between the grey part and the black part where the radio fits. I have a little gap under where the cig lighter and ashtray are?

for the optional us audio console, u can ****** a ashtray from a 3gen prelude ie 87. the rear passenger on the passenger side has the same ashtray that is used in the audio console. i know this for a fact cuz i pull it out of my friends lude and test it in and it fits perfectly. happy hunting.

You may just have to push down on the front as you screw it into place. I believe the sides have a couple slotted holes to allow for adjustment. Try that and see if that helps.

Yeah, I kept looking for thread like that from you but never saw it so I decided to go ahead and figure something out myself. I would still like to see how you did yours though.
I had my moms boyfriend bend me a bracket at his work. I screwed that bracket to the side of the pocket and then bolted the other end of the bracket to the same bracket that mounts the open pocket to the car. If you have a audio console you might get what I mean. Otherwise it probablt sounds like nonsence. I put my flip pocket on top and the open pocket on the bottom as opposed to what you did though. I thought it looked a bit cleaner in that orientation, but thats just my $.02.
Thanks again for the help you did provide though. I really like how the set-up looks and gives some nicely needed extra storage.
