the holes in your rods are too small, you need to take the block and bolts to a mchine shop so they can drill out the holes. get em shot peened while your at it

The block is already assembled...Thats why I want to know..Cuz its one thing to pop the oil pan off and another to have to take it halfway apart...

you cant just SCREW them in. the rods have ot be machined to fit the bolts properly.

Yea the LS block is from my friends mom's teg that was rear ended...So i bought the block cheap with only 40k on it....so im gonna clean up the piston tops and add the girdle, windstray, and oil pick-up...So thats why i was asking about the rod bolts...

Will these fit the rod bolts without machining??

1.2-1.6 rod bolts x 8mm

From what I was reading, it didnt sound like they needed to be....Just put them in then end...
