Default Are ARP head studs longer than stock? Help please!

I've got ARP D Series Head studs and they are too long. Even went to Lordco and compared another set and they are both longer than stock. Is this normal?
The part numbers match up to my model engine (98 EX) but can't figure out why the studs would be 2/3 of an inch longer than stock.

Please help out ASAP. Engine is going in tomrrow!

The length is fine ...you have to remember that the nut screws onto the stud. OEM head bolts are stretch-to-yield, and the ARP head studs are re-usable. You're fine, just use the ARP assembly lube and torque them down correctly; good luck.

"Because you are putting them in a Y8 block. We had the same problem with my buddies car. They were originally the right length for a D16A6 block, but when he switched to a D16Y8 block (both blocks were using the D16Z6 head), the studs were too long.
I'm not sure if you want to do this or not, but we used washers to take up the extra length, and so far (about 5 months) they are just fine"

this pretty much explans it. Thank you!
