ARP head studs, bolts and washers
So i have a question for you guy here on ht; an answer or opinion would be greatly appericated.
I have a b18c1 motor with ARP head studs, bolts and washers
when i pulled off the head the first time i didnt notice the washer being there so i put my head back on without them as well - when it came to my attention that the ARP packet came with washing (friend pointed that out) i was curious to exactly how imporant the washers are - previously my motor never leaked from the head gasket and the gasket sealed compelty.
So any help would be great guys please thanks !

Re: ARP head studs, bolts and washers
Washers would help the nut to turn easier since it can turn on the washer (the torque applied to them would be inaccurate) and the washer will spread the load over a little larger area and protect the head.
The stock bolts have washers, the studs come with washers, so they are probably important enough to be there.
