Default ARC intakes?

I'm looking into getting an ARC intake and I wanted to know what people know about them. How much power do they give? How do they sound, etc... I found one for a really good price.

It sounds like you're new to this, and that's ok. If you can buy it at Pep Boys, Autozone or Checkers, don't. I'm not too faimilar with ARC but I think it's quality is equal to APCs, which is ****.

I recommend, and so do most people, AEM intakes. Here is a thread that can help you decide.

I'd expect a 5-10 hp gain over stock, and intakes almost always sound great.

I personally have a K&N drop-in filter with the stock airbox and a short-ram intake arm. I'm extremely happy with it...and I don't have to worry about sucking up water with a cold air

ARC I hear is very good for throttle response, but won't do **** for your HP numbers.

ARC is not like APC sorry. Most people that use ARC airboxes are people in europe who mod SAABs, BMW, Volvo's. Not to common over here, how much can you pick one up for? I dont think ive seen one under $300 and most go for $400+.

The power gain is usually only through the mid-range.

thus is true. i am sorry for being extra rude. just dislike when a new guy is asking for a little help, and is told something that is not true due to not having the knowledge to speak on the certain subject. maybe just read into things before trying to help someone, that's all.

You have one helluva shitty attitude. You made a mistake, no big deal. Take the punches and roll with them. You don't always have to throw punches back, especially when you are wrong. Get over it.
