#5
I had a EVO2 on my GSR and i loved it. sounds amazing and full stainless. Looks great too. Im gonna take the EVO2 to a shop here in a couple of weeks and have them cut it shorter to fit my Hatch.

Re: (BoOstedEM1)
Greddy exhausts are raspy. I have an original EVO also and when you hit around 2500 rpm it has a nasty sounding rasp. That is my only complaint.
Apex-i N1 sounds better in my opinion. A friend of mine has a 98 CW Type-r with the N1 and it sounds like an indy car. No rasp either. Good luck with whatever you choose.

It depends what you want out of it. WS2 is baffeled (sp?) muffler with 60mm piping and is only slightly louder than stock. EVO2 is louder but most likely will give you more gains. Not sure about the piping on the EVO2.
I have heard the EVO2 and its louder than my WS2 but it sounds very nice. That being said I still love my WS2 and would use no other exhaust.

Re: APexi ws2 vs greddy evo2 (bluemax189)
i had both exhaust, ws is virtually silent like a stock exhaust would be and has a more oem design to it, had like 3 of em, one on a 00 coupe, one on a 00 hatch, both gsr swaps, and another one on a lexus is 300. WS is dope all the way!!!! had 2 evos both on 00 coupes, real mean exhaust, costs a little more and sounds evil. its not rice loud but it will be heard. has a real mean rumble, and great performance. either would be a good choice. good luck

I have the greddy evo2, and it doesnt sound raspy at all. I have the stock cat and resonator from the system and it sounds really nice. No rasp to it at all, and it has a deep non ricey sound, plus it fits great, i would recomend it to anyone. The WS is more quiet but it def gets louder at WOT.

Re: APexi ws2 vs greddy evo2 (EJ8VTEC)
Well the real question here is do you really want an exhaust that you're probably gonna get tired of in less than year because you want at least some noise when you hit VTEC? I had the WS2 for about 6 months and got tired of it. Ordered a THERMAL R&D CL system and I can say I will probably never need another exhaust. It fit PERFECTLY! No scraping, no ratlling, no dragging. Just like they say, these things were designed to fit your car exactly. Sounds nice when you get on it but not loud when you are cruising. Don't know if that's your thing, but if you are gonna want some exhaust sound with your exhaust you should definitely check it out. I can send you a sound clip if you are interested. http://www.thermalrd.com

i hate loud exhaust notes, and the ws2 is
1- cheap
2- quiet but noticeable sound...
i hate civics running these deep loud exhausts when you can run something decent that won't make your cabin resonate and make u have to run your audio louder

Re: APexi ws2 vs greddy evo2 (ricedoutride)
I've got APEXi WS2 exhaust on my 1995 Honda Prelude, and it sounds excellent. It resonates a smooth, deep tone and doesn't have the raspiness often found in other mufflers and cat-back systems. Excellent choice and great price. I got my cat-back system for $340.
