apexi ws vs tanabe hyper medalion
cant pick between the 2, and i dont know of anyone around me with either for me to go look at. i like the ws because of the price, but the tanabe because it comes in stainless steel now. i want a deep throaty rumble, but not a buzzy bee sound. any pics of them on a 92-95 HB or sound clips would be nice

get tanabe if you want more power and a deep sound. the ws is quiet but its made to be the exhaust the manufacturer should have put on. (more potential of stock)

i have the tanabe, and i like it. the look is very low key, and the sound is nice and mellow. but i have a 2.5 inch test pipe, so the sound is a little raspy, but after the raspy tones go away the tone is smooth and mellow.

Look at last months issue of Sport Compact in the article of Project Civic. They put a WS on it and it looks good. I ordered mine two weeks ago and it's not in yet.
Would any of you know if the WS, Carsound cat, and JDM header would fit without modification on a 93' EG6? I don't want to cut anything.

if you are thinking straight through like the apex N1 muffler than i don't think so. the exhaust flow might maze through the tanabe to kill off some noise. the raspy tone comes from not having a cat. i guess the cat also acts like a resonnator. hope that helps

I would go with the apexi WS. I have a tanabe rm on my car and it's loud as hell. I love the design but I had to sacrifice sound. Also, like you said, you can't beat that price. If you get the ws and decide you do not like it, I will trade you my tanabe racing medallion, I drive a 93 hatch.

yeah but you got the Rm...I have they hyper on my EK and it looks great and its quiet tooo........it dosent draw that much attention to it ethier...out of my crew only a mugen exhaust is quieter than mine....but then on the other side of things im still running on a dx motor so....i dunno how loud its gonna be after my swap
