Apexi WS exhaust owners
Someone told me there are fitment issues with this exhaust. Some heard the B pipe hangs lower than the rest of the exhaust or it rubs against the gas tank. Anyone have these problems? Anyone buy one recently, is the problem still there? Thanks in advance.

if there is an issue with the B pipe..then does the muffler come seperate of do u have to get the whole cat. back?..if i can just get the muffler ..i can just have a custom install at any muffler

I installed this in my 94 Coupe about 2 weeks ago. I have no problems with fiting issues. It sounds great, just like stock (hopefully will sound good with my B series!) It doesn't sound ricey at all (none of those popping noises).
Very good catback IMO.
EDIT: I got mine from http://www.inlinefour.com for $400. Very quick shipping and came in good condition.

I have heard nothing but good things about the es muffler. A lot of people paint it black for a sleeper look. A lot of people who want a 2.5" exhaust usually buy the es muffler and get an exhaust custom made. hth

i've got one on my 95 EJ. it rubs the gas tank and sounds like an apache helicopter at the stoplights during cold weather. of course i have a b16a swap and using a testpipe that is a tad bit too long, so don't take my advice as the final word on the matter

I have a full cat back with the Carsound 2.5" cat and a B18c1 in my 96 CX. It is quiet as hell. Best money I've spent so far on my car. I hate that loud a$$ ricey shiet. The WS is the way to go!! No fitment problems either......

Re: Apexi WS exhaust owners (sleeper_civic)
I replaced my c r a p Thermal R&D classic cat-back with an Apex-i WS, after recieving fix-it ticket. I bought the WS from Modacar and paid $400 (I was in a hurry). This was going onto a 1995 Civic Si hatchback having "at the time" the stock D16 engine. I did not have any problems with the install or the fittment. Nothing rubs against my gas tank or anywhere else. The exhaust comes in three sections: resonator pipe, bend pipe, and rear section. I had best results by assembling all the sections loosly under the car then tightening the bolts down evenly across the entire system. Good clearance and fit. Sounds great, I also do not like loud exhaust tones.
Overall, I was just happy to get rid of my Thermal R&D. All the problems I had with that crap exhaust as well as their customer service, I'll never buy their products again.
My only complaint it that the tip is way too large, I'm almost ready to cut that thing off. I also doubt the WS can flow well enough once I finish my turbo engine. It will have to be replaced then.
Hope this helps?

Re: Apexi WS exhaust owners (FifthGearOnline)
does es make a quiet exhaust? that looks like the es oval? [really stock looking]
cuz the ws, even though it is quiet, it still has a huge tip.

Re: Apexi WS exhaust owners (deepnite)
i think that the WS is one of the best mufflers you can get from APEXi...it looks great and is quiet...why try to make your muffler loud...you get a lot of unwanted attention...i bought an N1...but i wish i would've went for the WS
