Default Apex'i N1 Type Pro Coilovers

Anyone have these and street them?

96-00 Civic Applications, but 92-95 is fine too.

I want to know how you feel about them and how the ride height ajustability is. Thanks.

If you are talking about the Apexi N1 Pros, those things are monsters! They have 52 mm diameter pistons and they are one of the best coilovers you can get for the money. If you are only planning to use them for the street + a little bit of track, they are wayyyy overkill and for the price, you are better to go with something like the Buddy Club Racing spec damper which i am using right now. Best street/track combo i have used thus far.

oh, i'm getting an unbelievable price on them. better than the RA's and the type flex. if only they had that lil helper spring...

edit- btw, no one has told me about the height ajustability. i wanna sLaM mY sHieT DaWg! i just don't want it looking like an SUV. and i'm sure those springs won't settle. ever.

Ride height is adjusted ny turning the lower shock perch (lengthening and shortening the entire shock) and you can SLAM that ****! Springs have nothing to do with ride height because this is a 3 way adjustable shock/coilover system unlike the RAs or Type Flex.

I have not yet tried the N1 Pros (because of price) but i bet they have a large range of adjustability because they have a huge piston. Meaning full soft is damn soft and full stiff will be damn stiff. If you are getting them cheaper than a RA, which i have owned, it's a AWESOME deal and if i had deal like that when i was shopping for my BC RS, i willl of jump at it! The reason you will not find alot of first hand experience is because those things are FAWKING expensive and not alot of people can afford them! And remember, that is a pretty high end shock and the frequency to rebuild is higher than a average shock (rainv oil used will break down alot faster) and i am not sure if Apexi has the facilities to rebuild them here in North America. If they have to be serviced in Japan, expect 2 month worth of down time.

Type Pro's have no lower shock perch adjustment. Those are Type V's. Please correct me if I am wrong...

I have Apexi N1 PRO's on my 240. These are seriously one of the sweetest coilovers you can buy and I fully support them. Not many people have them so you probably won't find many comments about them. I don't know if you know djelektrique or now he is called SocietyMike. He is one of the guys in Grip Video and he has them. He thinks they are the best coilovers and he's tried a bunch of them. He was the one who influenced my opinion and his opinion was dead on.

They do have an adjustable lower perch and they have larger piston than the Type V. Type V is for the street supposedly and type PRO are for the track. These things are comfortable on the street when set to a softer setting so I don't know how they base this.

Apexi is in orange county and I'm pretty sure I can get mind rebuilt there when they go out.

Consider yourself corrected.

the helper spring is only there to keep the spring on the seat when the shock is fully drooped.

If you are getting N1 pros for less than $1400, than don't ask questions. Just buy and install. If you don't like them, sell them and make some money. Thats a kick *** deal.

you're going to HATE those spring rates on the street. BUT, those coilovers are going to be awesome on the track. Hopefully, you plan on using the car there.

I'm running 650/450 and my car is pretty damn bad on roads that arent perfect.
