Default APEXi El Tachometer

Does anyone here have this tachometer on their car (pref. on ek and ej6)? Also, do those bottom light on the outer edges of the casing work like shift indicators?

Are there any other tachometers out there that has an internal shift lights but is small enough to fit in a triple pillar pod?

I've been looking at autometer/autogauge models and they do have some with internal shift lights but aren't small enough to fit the pilla pod. I want to place it as part of the pod because I want to keep my dash clean. Can't get a cluster either since I have the pod already sitting in my garage for awhile and I'm leaning towards placing my tach in there that on the dash. Pictures would help

3 3/8" and 3 3/4" tachs are available from Autometer. But it depends on how big the pod holes are. I don't think I've ever seen tachs that small.

Yes, but do they have an internal shift light? I don't want to keep looking at my tach when I should be looking ahead

IMO, get a ProForm shift light. $55 shipped. It's ONLY a shift light. A dial on the back lets you set the shift light. Goes from 3,000-12,000 RPM and is on 200 RPM interval (3,200...3,400...3,600 and so on).

i made my own shift light using the empty spaces in the guage cluster... i just made two lights... since theres about 4 or 5 unused spaces... one lights up as a warning to get ready and the other one lights up when its time to shift... theyre as tiny as the other lights on the dash but i didnt put any thin cover over it so the lights are pretty bright... and its concealed nicely... rather than a big ugly tac or something
