does anyone have a 99-00 Si with the Apex N1 exhaust? mine rattles real bad when i turn on the AC. could it be that the bolts aren't tightened down enough?give me info.

do you have a short shifter too? if so, it might be the heat shield rattling or it could be the o2 sensore that is under the car. my car's o2 sensor touches the shifting bar underneath the car and i cant seem to get it fixed.
just look under the car and see what might be touching.

Nope its not the heat sheild. I betcha its rattling against the gas tank. Happens to everybody. Or mostly everybody.

With your car parked, turn it on with the a/c and go outside to the back of the car and get on the ground and look underneath. You'll see that the bend of the piping over the rear lca is barely touching the gas tank causing it to rattle. The fix? Tell me when you find out. Actually I had a local muffler shop try to fix it before and they did. I believe they bent a hanger slightly and it moved it over. But ever since I put in my DC JDM header and testpipe it must have shifted the exhaust again because now its rattling.

this happens to my EJ with my N1 also, mine I belives hits around the bottom indent where the rear seats poke out.

not sure how to stop it as I am now used to it

Glad I am not the only one with rattling N1...damn..when I drive sometimes..it ticks against gas tank...small noise but bugs..I thought this was my suspension going bad on me...Oh yea I have 00ex and it rattles bad when I drive it hard or when I turn on Ac time to time...I also have gotten used to it, bit embarrassing though, when some girl is riding my car, the exhaust sounds mucho cheapo

Don't have an N1, but my exhaust rattles also. Only between 2000 and 3000 rpm, and only when slightly on or off throttle. And when I use A/C.

I used a rubber exhaust hanger and O-strap and wedged it between the gas tank and the midpipe. No more rattling for me.

My WS hits when under hard acceleration SOMETIMES. I bent the hangers and moved it over but it still makes contact on occasion. There just isn't much room under there with the larger diameter pipe.

my greddy sp rattles hard too...speakin of which i'ma fix today...the bolts wit the little springs are it are mad rusted, and greddy didn't give me new bolts...so i gotta head to auto zone....but thats why mines rattle...good luck
