Default Apex-i Q

my buddy has one of the VTEC air flow converters on his 99 ex with a b18c swap. i dont know how to do much tuning. can any one give me basics to make power with this thing?

I used to have one. My tuner adjusted all the settings for me. Its not really a good source of tuning

i hope hes not running boost if so i would take it off. you need a wideband to tune it rite.. usally leaning the top end out alil helps but u dont want to pull too much fuel. cars run rich from the factory so adding fuel will do nothing.

its N/A. all the motor has is cams and ported head. he's already running pretty rich but im not sure how to tune it safely. or to even make power. are they even worth having?

you need a wideband for a/f's and maybe advance the distributor some; just make sure if compression is high to make sure u dont hear any detonation. if so back the timing off some..
