Anything I can do to my EG to tighten the chassis?
I've owned my '92 Si hatch for a short while. I've replaced just about all steering components and replaced all bushings other than the rear trailing arms with ES pieces. I bought the car with Koni yellows and Progress springs. Trouble is, the car's chassis just feels loose. That's why I replaced all of the bushings, etc., hoping to help. It did make a difference, but it still creaks and moans going up inclines, and rattles over road seams.
I've tightened the tailgate and rear window which cured some of the rattling, but there are still creaks from the doors, hatch area, etc...
My '92 Z-car also has modified suspension/spherical bearings, etc. but is much stiffer and much better to drive around on the street.
Would chassis braces help? I want my civic to be fun yet "comfortable" enough to be my daily driver. What can I do other than welding in a cage, or stitch welding the chassis, to tighten it up?
