Anyone swapped a cruise control into an Orthia or a B-powered ek-civic?
Hey there,
First of all, please excuse my english!
I own an '96 Orthia, which is technically about the same as any ej/ek civic.
Since it has a B18B inside, i guessed a cruise control out of an EM1 would work.
Does anyone know, if the ej/ek civics have any wiring harness which is made for a cruise control even if they had none?
For example: The fog-light harness was already built in in my ej9-civic. so i am guessing a cruise control harness would be pretty much the same. I just have no idea, where to find the connections of that harness and i also don't know what else i would need since the cruise control was never an option for civics in germany before 2001.
All documentation i have for that car is in japanese, and i'm glad i am able to speak just a little bit english
It really would be a big help for me!
THX so far,
Johannes

Over here in north america civics without cruise control weren't wired for it. Everything has to be wired in.

Yes - I offer this service. Parts removal, complete wiring harnesses, switches, etc. and shipping to Germany. I require a small down payment (25 Euros) because I have to buy all the parts for you myself, and this shows me you are committed to the sale. PM me if you are a serious buyer. I have a post about this on maxrev.de and hondapower.de.

Sounds good. Just depends on the complete price...
Do you have any links to a hondapower.de threat?

Well - it's not cheap. This post is for an EG.

I went out last week to see what parts were available locally at the scrapyard for an EK. There were two vehicle which will be suitable. Most parts are available, but I will still look for a gauge cluster and main cruise control switch in good condition. Here are some photos:
