looks like a scam or its stolen and the only way they can sell it is if they have the title if this is so the idiot left his title in the car which is illegal BTW if any of you didnt know dont leave your title in your car...

Yeah, quoting the craigslist post and posting it here would have helped people if you really wanted to help find the original owner (that is, if it's a scam or theft).

I emailed the guy and got an auto response :

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Hello there,

Sorry for the delayed response, but I'm in St. John's,Canada right now and I have been very busy.Anyway, thank you for your interest in buying the car. The car is located in US right now and has US papers. Why is the price so low? I am going trough a divorce, and I had to move out of USA. I cannot register the car here, as it is made for USA, according to USA standards. So all that I want to do now is to sell the car at this price, because I need to sell it fast. The title is clean and you will have absolutely no problems to register the car in the States. I will tell you a few words about the car..
My 1999 Honda : Civic SI COUPE with automatic transmission it is in immaculate condition with 72000 miles and have the Vin number: 1HGEM1159XL045104,rust free , no scratch and hasn't been involved in any accident. The motor runs very well. The interior looks great. This car needs nothing,The title is clear ,it is not a salvage one
I want this transaction to go smoothly enough as I am caught in the middle of some very important events and have little time at my disposal. I already have tones of emails so I hope you understand that I need to sort them out. The car is like new, in perfect conditions, accident free, no scratches, no special marks, no need for additional repairs what so ever. a genuine road runner ready to be yours, but only if you shall understand and you won't make me loose time as it has already happened to me.
The price is 2500 USD $ THIS IS MY LAST PRICE.I will not negotiate the price.I take in consideration only those buyers who are really interested in buying the car ,to be sure that I don't waist my time with endless discussions. This way,I shall be assured of the serious intentions. So if you are interested please email me back.
Regards!!!</TD></TR></TABLE>

I figured the car might be stolen, or just a scam, so I figured both here and ClubSi would be good places to see it. It was an EBP Si for 2500, and from ClubSi it was aparently this car:

No un-even wear on the tires and they do not make noise.

I wouldn't have a problem with an Si (EM1) with an automatic transmission except that the seller says it's all original.

The only way that would be possibly is if someone was dumb enough to put an automatic b18 tranny on it and put that torqueless motor into an even deeper pit. If you look at it in the pictures, its clearly a manual tranny. Some thing is f'd up with this deal..
