Anyone know how to remove a V-AFC?
I am selling my car and Id like to remove my V-AFC to sell to a friend...I had it installed by a local shop and I was wondering has anybody removed theirs and could tell me how they did it? I do not want to cut the wrong wire and my car no longer works...if anyone can help it would be appreciated, thanks

I figured if i cut the wires something wouldnt work.
Its a long shot but Central PA. If not if its something simple Im sure I could do it.

Most of the wires are tapped into the wiring harness by the ECU. Only one or two should be completely cut in half. Just reconnect the wires by matching colors.

i think you have all the detail you need, pull away the ecu cover, find the vafc harness, un connect the tapped wires, tape up the tapped bare area of the engine harness wire, then the wires that had to be cut from the ecu, simply find the matching other end . solder, heatshrink and be done with it...

I just cut mine off at the harness.. worked just fine.
Just dont cut the actual ECU harness, only the V-AFC harness. Be sure to tape all the wires just to be safe

got ya...i take it the V-AFC Harness would be the one that comes from the big black wire off the side of the actual unit?
