Anyone know how to lube Auto Shift Cable
So My automatic shifter cable sticks, and makes it darn harsh to shift out of park to reverse. Once I get past reverse though shes fine. So anyhow I purchased a new cable... and it went to my parents house and Im about 900 miles away--- and this is pretty much the only weekend I could replace it, as summer is my busy time.
Regardless of my drama, does anyone know exactly where to lube it to make shifting easier? Ive read of people lubing it to avoid replacing it. I got it all apart here.. tore out the middle shifter console, and I shot a little white lithium grease on everything, now I got under the car and gave it a once over-- and I dont really see where I can lube anything on the underside.
I see where it attaches to the transmission....and where it enters the cabin, but it doesn't make any sense to lube where it touches the trans housing right?
So where should I be lubing?
Thanks in advance
