i'm thinking about getting a blue underbody neon kit.. anyone know how long it takes to install it.. and how to install it? hehe.. i know it's ricey and all.. but it really looks nice.. thanx to those who reply.

i've heard it's pretty hard considering their aren't many spots under there where u can hide it from getting scraped. for future references this thread belongs the appearance/cosmetic forum.

I thought about it but remembered that that is weight that you don't need when your racing and the look is kinda going out of style for ricers. You need to get the window-washer lights in purple

Personally, I just shrug when I see an import with an underbody kit... or a purple late frame, or one of those glowing antenea... but if you are going to do it, do it right. (this should scare you away from doing it...)

Go to Home depot and grab a pack of the zip ties that have a loop to mount them at the end. You can use these and self tapping screws to keep the wires out of the way. WATCH WHERE YOU DRILL THESE SCREWS, and try to find the shortest ones possible. If you dont know where the oem wires are run under the door sill, or under the passenger kick panel (ecu area) then you should not attempt this install.

Also, you may want to make sure not not bend the tubes or mount in such a way that applies pressure to a certain part of the tube casing, they break easily. Other than that, basic 12volt wiring for the switch, a relay and an ignition controlled + is always a good idea.

you can put it where ever you want to underneath your car...its just the matter of getting damage while raining or running over little pebbles and junk like that...most of that stuff belongs on showcars at the show...they look alright on the streets...but in my opinion i'd never get one on my car...but do what you'd like...

General mechanical skills should be sufficient to mount up those things. Just get under there and figure it out.
