Anyone know about brake swaps
Lets face it the ITR 5 lug is too expensive for what it is. Its great and all but it only the 5 lug part that we're all after (come on who doesn't put better discs and pads on). Does anyone know if the CRV 5 lug is the same. I know the bolt pattern is but just wanted to know if anyones done it. Someone made mention of it on the ITR board and it got me thinking. Thanks.

The ITR 5lug is much more than just a 5th lug replacement...it is truly one of the best stock braking systems out there... I doubt you would find something that good out there for the price with the reliabilty of OEM quality and ease of repair and use...
As for the CRV..good luck in finding that set-up..I would like to know about it also..

Re: Anyone know about brake swaps (Blue-Civic-Hybrid)
my friend has a 01 ITR and the only difference aside from the 5 lug is the better discs, pads, and clamps. The hubs and the rest are no different than the stock teg. I was planning on gutting the disc pads, and calipers for spoon ones anyways thats why I wanted to try and get a cheaper 5 lug. We all know that we're paying extra on top for that type r name. The cars are miles better but alot of the little parts are just filler, theres no reason to upgrade those parts. The best one I ever saw was on ebay someone bought JDM ITR suspension arms, no spindles just the arms, for $500. The funny part is that they're even the same part # as the arms off the LS! CRV brakes would probably be easy to find if they fit. They've been real popular and I'm sure there's been more than a fair share of women on cell phones who totaled theirs.

Re: Anyone know about brake swaps (D16Z6racing)
I don't know how much one from a CRV would cost but I'm sure it would be less. Especially considering that there are probably way more CRV's in this country alone than the are type r's in the world, and that Honda has had the CRV and another SUVish car in Europe and Asia for years. Anybody actually have any ideas on a fit though?
