Anyone know....
What the hell causes this???
This is a stage 4 Comp Clutch that has about 1000 miles on it. It came out of a d16 with I/H/E mods only. This clutch is made to withstand over 400HP. What gives?

well.. I broke it in for 500 miles and I ragged on it a little after that. Nothing I didn't do on a stock clutch that lasted WAY longer. I mean this thing is rated for over 400HP. I'm pulling not even 150.

check the assembly of your whole clutch if the plate is hitting anything or any missalignment will put alot of tension on those springs also as boxeo said you could be riding it alot

riding it? yeah.. like I have the rest of the clutches in the car that have lasted for years.. anyway.. Comp Clutch were very surprised to see this and are sending me a new clutch. let hope the next one lasts longer.
