Anyone install a JDM CTR RADIO in an EK??
From what i remember reading the radio doesnt have the same frequencies as the US does. WIth that you need some sort of FM modulator from radio shack to get it to pick up all the stations?
Anyone do this ?? I dont want to hear JDM this or that, i just want to know if it will work properly!
thanks

naw, gathers was an option, like a "premium sound package" deal.
I don't think that even with anything from radio shack you'll be able to pick up all us radio stations. good luck.

They must work, like jdm road flares and parking antenna's?? I wouldn't count on them working just cuz they were in somebodys car.

I can't see buying a Cd player just because its JDM. I mean its a dam factory cd player, are you expecting it to put out superior sound quality because its "JDM"?

i knew someone was going to knock this radio becuase it happens to be "JDM"
the reason why i was asking if it was a doable swap is because i found one cheap and like the way it looks especially in silver!
Bump for info
for JDM Bandwagon Bashers

CTR Radio? Bwaahaha
I am going to get a white 2000 hatch and make it "JDM y0 CTR style," only mine is going to be a replica of the "race base" CTR - the one that came with all-seasons, steelies, no radio or A/C, and regular '96-00 Civic seats/steering wheel/shift ****/mirrors, etc. That's the real CTR
How come nobody ever makes replicas of those CTRs?

You can get the same cheap-looking low-end crap silver stereo at Best Buy, Sony makes one that looks just like it.

you dont get radio statios, a FM modulator alows you to play sound through the radio from an outside source. The CD and tapes work fine, fitmint is fine.

It would be tight if you could hook it up like a short wave radio and get stations from all over the world
I think it looks tight!, I like the silver.

Are you kidding me? That radio looks like it's 50 years old!
You can have a radio shop do it or buy a FM band expander like Pea said.

why have him PM you when you can just make a post explaining how,..info is always a good thing to post,..it helps alot of people out
and IMO i wouldnt go through all that trouble for a "JDM y0" ,..hell just get a SI radio and call it a day if you want that stock honda look

i had a JDM double DIN CD/MD deck... when i bought it it came with a frequency adapter.. but even with it installed i could only get 2 radio stations... and the reception still sucked... and the numbers were off.. like 102.5 here showed up as 83.5 or somethin on my deck
