anyone hear anything about these???
i was watching t.v and saw a commercial for the "mazdaspeed" by mazda it has a turbocharged 4 cyl. and a claimed 170 hp and 160 tq.. any reviews on these?? thanx

try http://www.mazda.com they have them on their official web site if thats not the right web site just search under mazda on any search engine.

one word... badass
basically the new protege carries the same 2.0L the 2nd gen base probes and mx-6's had. people gripe about the mazdaspeed(MS) only having 170hp being a turbocharged car. well, all you gotta do is slap a boost controller on there and let it fly. the reason MS set the boost at this safe/low level is for the transmission. basically, if you crank up the boost, you'll either need to cryo-dip your tranny or just not floor it over rough pavement.
