also any ideas on if this can affect speedo?

ive made posts in the past about it and here is what i have tried

problem:
-speedo doesnt work
-odo doesnt work
-vss CEL is on

things ive tried:
-3 other working VSS sensors
-checked voltage to vss
-tried 3 different clusters i know 100% work
-checked all of my fuses

so my last guess is that it could be a ground that is shorting out my speedo as well...? i just dnt know anymore ive been trying to figure this out for months lol

A short would typically blow the fuse, so you more likely have an intermittent open in the dimmer switch circuit. Pry the dimmer switch out of the dash and test whether jumping the red to the black wire in the dimmer switch connector prevents the flickering.

Speedo: The VSS has three wires: power, ground, and speed signal. Check whether the VSS ground wire has continuity to body ground and whether the VSS speed signal wires that run to the ECU and cluster have an open or short.

ok i tested the dimmer. and if its any help the dimmer doesnt flicker at all it just completely goes out randomly maybe hitting bumps etc.

when i jumped the dimmer circuit my heat/cool gauge light still doesnt work which it will occasionally when i hit bumps.

in order to get the lights to come back on when the dimmer cuts out i can punch the dimmer switch and itl come back on lol.

i will test the vss this afternoon or tmrw. how would i check if the vss sensor has an open or short? i tested them with a voltmeter a month ago at the vss and the numbers came out according to the chart i had on hand.

do i need to check the speed sensor at the ecu? and what should it read. thank you for your input so far!

edit: these were the numbers i got when i tested the vss cable 5v to the constant 12v to the power and ground 0
