Default Anyone have a C.A.R.B. sticker for a V2 intake?

I either never got a sticker with my y8 AEM v2 intake or I lost it.
Sorry if this is borderline WTB/Tech but im trying to see if:

a) will cops write tickets if i dont have a sticker but i do have a carb #?

b) Is there any way to get another sticker?

c) Anyone simply have a sticker lying around they could scan?

If you have a real AEM part, just call up AEM. I'm sure they'll help you out.

AEM telephone reps are straight ********! Have you ever tried calling them!?! I needed an AEM v2 transmission mounting plate for a gs-r because the y8 one is 2 cm too long. I called them up and they hung up on me 3 times!

I think they guys name is Kai. That guy kept trying to sell me a hybrid intake instead of helping me get one single part. As soon as he figured that he couldnt sell it to me he said, "this conversation is over." and hung up on me.

I called back and went straight back to Kai and he hung up on me after i asked to speak to a supervisor

I called a third time and selected the sales dept. and got routed to Kai, He hung up again after i asked to speak to a supervisor.

If i was close to their headquarters i would have driven up there and beat his ***

What i DO remember about the guy is he sounded asian and sounded very nasal

You bet, if your car doesn't sound stock, or look stock, they can pop your hood. Its probable cause.

Yes, they like to use that on us black folk but recently they've been using it for all types of ****.

Probable cause means if they 'smell weed', alcohol, etc they can search your car. I'm not going to knock our police force for a couple of bad apples but some bad cops will use probable cause when there is none, knowing that the only thing that will get you off is a good lawyer.

A good lawyer can almost always eat through 'probable cause' but most of us cant afford that type of lawyer.

A good example of this is when Damon Stoudamire's ( used to be a PG with Portland T.B. ) house got robbed during a game. The cops searched his house and found a lb. of weed. Thats cute that they were searching for a suspect in his house but they purposely went through his **** to find something to bust him on. Tell me, is a thief going to hide in the steak knive drawer?!

No, im putting a v2 y8 intake, from my old engine, on a b18c. I dont have the money to just go buy a new intake and even if i wanted to go buy a hybrid intake, it wouldnt be C.A.R.B. legal. I'm stuck inbetween a rock and hard place

LMAO....well, if you mentioned anything of the sort to AEM, that's obviously why they can't or would be unwill to help. That's not the correct application of the product. Its in not way, shape, or form of anything that can be CARB approved. A Y8 intake will not be CARB certified for a B18. Hence why he was telling you to get a hybrid intake.

Doesnt matter if its the correct application. Phone reps shouldnt be hanging up on people.

As I've said before, i cannot use hybrid intakes because they are not carb legal. Otherwise i would have bought one. I have no choice but to use my v2 intake because it's C.A.R.B. certified, PERIOD. C.A.R.B. stickers dont have the engine on it, just the type of product it is, the C.A.R.B. # and maybe the car it goes into.

I know this. I drilled that third tranny hole in my old bracket only to find that the bracket itself is 2 cm too long.

Thats why i originally called to AEM, to buy a new bracket and new bolts. They said they couldnt sell me the bracket ( bullshit because it has its own part # and i was able to get one from a distributor ) and to go with the hybrid intake.

To their credit, I just talked to Devin and he's a lot more helpful than some of those idiots on the phone.
