Almost done with the black and yellow set, I think these are what I'm going to rock once I've perfected the process.

Anyone know the part numbers or section for the gauge clusters? Like so you can order just the needles/faces/lights/bezel/etc. by itself?

I wouldn't mind selling them at all, I'd like to kind of perfect the process before I do though.
I'm not boasting at all, but there's not many things you can't find a write-up for online when it comes to 6th gen civics, and I definitely paid the price for doing something original. I broke quite a few things while trying to perfect this process. While doing this, I was also trying to get integra glow needles to work in my cluster. I will say these clusters are the touchiest thing I've worked with so far. There's honestly no good way to remove the needles from the tach without breaking it. If you pull the needle, the whole spindle piece usually comes out of the gauge itself...no bueno. Now, I just dremel the needles off, it seems excessive but after breaking two tachs (I have tons of extra cluster parts to work with so I didn't really spend any money) I just find it easier to dremel them off since I don't like using the stock needles anyways.

Ver. 2
I used a posterboard thickness paper for the back layer this time. Definitely worked out alot better...
Still working out a few things, mainly based on the flexible LED strip I'm using. Great stuff, just takes some tweaking so distribution is even.

Not quite sure if this should come in this topic.
Edited my EG cluster. What gen is this?
Also it is EUDM, so km/h.
Originals (in cluster / dash):
(please don't mind the green. It's not green anymore for a long time)
Originals (scanned):
Photoshopped:
In the cluster and dash:
Also this is still just on paper. Gonna see if i can get it printed on transparent plastic somewhere soon.

Haha thanks! Yeah it's been awhile, feels good to be back though.

Re: Anyone have 6th gen gauge faces scanned in Photoshop or Corel?
They read correctly enough for me after calibration...they read just as accurate as the spare stock clusters I have if I switch them. I have a speedo app on my iphone I use to test the speedo and it's spot on at 60, takes a little adjusting. I put the needle on lightly, test it, and then move it if needbe, and then put the needle on a little more solid once I got it down. Then I know at 60 MPH my tach should be at 2800 RPM IIRC so I can adjust that.
The way I may be able to do it in the future, after perfecting the process, would be to buy clusters, have somebody send me what designs they want on their gauges, I'll mach something up in photoshop and send it until we get it the way they want it, and then complete the cluster. I'll charge X amount of dollars, and then have a core charge kind of thing...if you send your stock cluster back, I'll refund you a certain percentage of the original cost. This way I can keep my supplies up.

@AddiXz...mine are for a 6th gen civic...if that's what you're asking.
I like the concept. What did you use to cut out the odometer? I used an exacto hobby knife with a super thin metal ruler to get a perfect edge. Mine came out pretty smoothly.
Do the 5th gen civic clusters have a troublesome time when removing the needles as well?

Yes, OMG i hate those things! Especialy the one for the speedo. I think it was glued a bit, cause when i put it back on. It didnt work the way it should anymore. So i think i need to glue that on again. -_-'.

Re: Anyone have 6th gen gauge faces scanned in Photoshop or Corel?
I tried this project but was not able to finish it. I ended up removing the face which i have printed because the numbers from the original gauge overlaps.
my right side LED is not working, i have replaced it with an LED strip this morning so I can see the needles clearly.
I will definitely try using a poster thickness for the back layer this coming weekend.
