Default Pedals: Anyone Ever??

Make their own pedal set? I know its kinda retarded when pedals are so cheap, but I need to do something at work to make it look like im working on something So i figured i'd try to make some mugen fakes. Just not sure of dimensions.... Anyone ever done this? any ideas?

just the screws. They're more secure that way instead of the cheesy pedal covers that you're used to seeing. . .

Can anyone estimate the approx. width of top and bottom of the pedals? Do you think 2.5" is too wide for bottom of the gas?

I'm at school, but if nobody has by the time I get home, I'll measure the pedals for you

from what i understand, they are not sandpaper, but rather metal cast to have that texture. if that is true, they will last a bazillion times longer than sandpaper.

if you plan on adding sandpaper style grip to your pedals, go get some skateboard griptape. it can last a while, it's made to grip, and it can be replaced in no time for very cheap.

edit: this looks like it might turn into a decent tech thread if emerica can get you those measurements, so it would benifit honda-tech if you added something about "pedals" or something like it in the thread title so when someone searches, this will actually come up.

Will do, and the skateboard grip tape was already in the works .... i know not to try sand paper. However, i might see if we have something around the shop here

i wasnt being serious at all, the sand paper would prob rub off the first day you use it . grip tape would be a real good option. i dont really know how it would handle in rainy weather though

going strictly on skating a wet board vs. driving stock pedals with wet shoes, the griptape would win hands down. won't be as good as dry, but there will still be more than enough grip.

and once the tape wears out, you can replace it with some cool pink grip! maybe lime green or blue, depending on just how radical you are!

ok these are the dims i got from just merely guessing
clutch/break pedals look same: 2.5" across top 2" across bottom? 2.5 top to bottom
Gas: 5.75" long, 2" across top, 2.5 at widest part at bottom?

do these sound about right? this is not even measuring stock and not having any refrence besides my eye and the pics...
i plan to have them cut out of 7ga. sstl (gonna be beefy)

I work as an engineer for a company that has nothing to do with making parts for cars, but we have a laser .... i prefer not to reaveal it however, cuz this is kinda abusing company resources.

Thanks, if u were serious, i expect alot more flamers.... I will def. let everyone know how things turn out. This is all dependent on whether the laser guy hooks me up. Depends on how many parts he is running. Hopefully if i have the program all set up it will only take like 5 min to burn them... *crosses fingers*
