Puny B series will fit with no problem. I fit my h22 in my eg hatch with the tranny still bolted onto it. I know my H is a lot bigger than your B so yes it will fit.

Your hatch must have been sagging like a bitch.

We hauled a B18A and YS1 trans in the back of a stripped '90 hatch. Didn't even budge the suspension with 500 lbs-in spring rates in the back

Loading and unloading was a big PITA though.

i have no desire to lower my car. i do want really stiff springs though. where did you find 500 lbs and how much were they? i have been looking all over. every time you search for stiff springs everything comes up lowering this lowering that. any help would be appreciated. Do you know if i can get
coilovers that stiff so i could just replace suspension nice and simple?

When I did the swap on my Subaru, we transported the engine in the back of my 1998 Toyota Sienna minivan. It sagged the hell out of that.

I also sold the blown motor to another Subey owner, who showed up to pick up the engine with his 1994 Subaru Impreza Coupe. Needless to say, it was funny seeing him pull away with the *** sagged low!
