Anyone ever see this sohc valve cover before ???
where did this cover come from?? it looks to be a y8 engine and i think the guy who posted this video is from new zealand.

Obviously RHD, The youtube user's location is in New Zealand.
96-00 Civic's were assembled in New Zealand, so that's probably locally produced there
Going to check NZHonda's to see if it's a stock valve cover.

No, it's not from Canada and no it's not a D16Y5 and no the VC doesn't look the same as a 94 EX Coupe's D16Z6. Lots of blind shots in the dark here so there's no need to mock the OP. Motor is a D16Y6 which is a New Zealand-only version of the D16Y8.

Canada, New Zealand. What's the difference between the two? Seriously, What're the differences?

Glad your geography classes worked out for you. That's not what I was asking. The difference as in the details since I don't have every variation of every stinking part Honda ever made for every flavor of a Civic on the planet memorized. At least ONE person knew what I was asking.

I had one of those on the car when I bought it. Recently got rid of it. Sold it to a guy that said he had been looking for one for years. Go figure.
