anyone ever have coolant leak out of your EACV ???
ok heres need advice post # 999,999,999..
Poured coolant in my new motor for the first time(jdm d15b in 92 cx)
and so I'm dumping coolant in the radiator, getting towards the end of my big jug o coolant, and I start hearing a splattering.
I quickly look all over to see whats spilling,
not the radiator(aside the couple gallons of missed pours..),
then I see it coming out the back of the engine,
I trace the drip, and theres a steady stream, small stream, but steady,
dripping out the bottom of the EACV, located on the back of the intake manifold
i'm sure most of you know what it looks like, its got a big cylinder on its side,
well basically it looks as if the dripping is coming directly from underneath that cylinder.
It might be coming from elsewhere in that area and sliding down underneath,
but thats where the main stream looks to originate.
I didnt even know coolant flowed into it like that!!
i mean.. I assumed it saw coolant to function or something.. but didnt know you could pour it in the radiator and have it leak out there.
Is there a weep hole or something?
or a screw or something that I might need to tighten down?
or do could it be damaged?
all the other sensors on the intake manifold were smashed..
like EVERY SINGLE ONE,
I replaced them all with the equivelant from my cx motor,
but the EACV's look different.
thanks in advance for info
