Looks like he technically wants to find out what that sticker says about his engine. What if it says "timing belt replaced at xxxxx miles" or something he needs to know about the engine?

From what I know about dates:
13 is the year
1 is the month
20 is the date
So I would say its January 20th 2013. Which makes no fricken sense. But thats what I see... Perhaps years old instead...

The kana above that says Ta I Mi N Gu Be Ru To
So its talking about the timing belt

I do not read kanji...or try to

if you read it exactly as its written this is the result

jan 20, 13 part being year. which makes no sense at all. so the year part to me looks to be the time instead of the specific translation of "year" which is common in kangi and harder to explain aswell. so basically when the original owner had the engine serviced it was a given what year it was performed so the month day and time is only needed.

its comparable to certain english words not being in certain world languages, like in spanish there are certain words or phrases that there is just no spanish translation of.

:i feel a headache coming on:

I never knew that kanji could be used for time.. It makes sense when I think about where I have seen it in the past, I guess.

I learned something new today
