I thought the damper connects to the valve cover then to the firewall. If so, that would help more than a motor mount.

here's a pic of mine
realistically for my setup it's hard to tell if this piece is really doing it's job. it's supposed to keep the engine from torquing back which in turn puts more power directly to the ground. i like i little bling factor

I could use one of them on my super torquey D16Y7 My stock mounts are like butta or I could get better motor mounts first.
Anyway, every little bit counts. So I guess it depends on price (too lazy to look on JHP for myself)

interesting find.. i checked the webpage and it doesn't look like a silver's racing product (couldn't find it on their website).. just looks like some sort of generic part.. would be interesting to try out..

on the kingsmart page, it's not 'branded' so just do a search for the 'brand' called general, which i'm guessing is their no-name brand.. damn good price compared to the j's, and i'll have to check my engine bay to see if this thing fits but i'll probably be ordering soon

it was about 3 days. yeah i thought it was a no name brand either but they send you the silvers racing one. it comes in a silvers racing package and says silvers racing on the side of the damper. works good great quality.
