Default Anybody recognize this white CTR replica?

Saw this on Ebay.. was going to bid, but after emailing the seller, sniffed out the scam.

I was wondering if this car belongs to an HT member. They should know that some sleezy bastard is using it to dupe idiots out of their money.

I'm curious if the JDM navigation works here. Were there ever USA maps for that thing? It's a nice rarity, but if its not functional, that's ghey.

I would definitely have paid $6700 for it if it were legit

I'm pretty sure it works. When my boy put everything together from what i remember everything was workin. He puts everything to perfection believe me. But as for the dude who has the car now, idk if hes been messing with it. And idk how he treats cars so i dont wanna tell u it works when he could've done something to it.

it's not a lowzy scam, jeez

if you actually read any of it before bidding, that's usually a good start

First line....is as follows:
"YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1997 HONDA CIVIC TYPE R REPLICA"

Do I need to go further?

I emailed the seller several times. They want me to send them $2900 M.O. and then the rest when I come to get the car.

I emailed them 4 times asking specific questions about the car like "Does the nav work in the US?, What suspension is on the car? Does the A/C blow cold?" and they respond to me every time and dodge all the questions and just tell me (in poor english) how I can pay for the car.

I also asked them if I could stop by and check out the car in person and the replied with, "I'm sorry, I'm out of town at the moment"

Check their feedback.. they have ONE. If you check the feedback for the one guy that gave them a positive, you'll see he only has TWO... and his other feedback is for an item that was removed by ebay...

I mean c'mon.. $6700 for a complete CTR replica with authentic Recaros, B16b, JDM nav, CTR wheel/airbag, '00 front end conversion, suspension, etc etc... and no one bid on it? right....

Listing title and description both say b16b.

That "spec sheet" is generated by CARad (the program they used to make the car look like a used car dealership ad), and fills in all the fields automatically when you put the VIN in.

Trust me, I'm not trying to be a dick, I wanted this car to be legit more than anyone. I can't seem to find a clean EJ/EK hatch with a swap and A/C that isn't a salvage car. In a month I'll have about $9k to spend and we'll see what's poppin' up on HT. I can't take filling up my BMW with $60 in gas every week.
