Anybody paint a steering wheel before?
I bought a cheap steering wheel but it is white...YUCK
So I'd like to paint it black or gray, but I am afraid regular spray paint will rub off onto my hands,
Is there something special I can use, or a clear coat afterwards?

if he's worried about the paint rubbing off onto his hands, i'm guessing he's talking about painting the leather/cloth part, where you hold the wheel.

What you do is you used interior vinyl paint and spray the whole wheel. Then you buy a steering wheel wrap from honda. The end.

why dont you just get a stock steering wheel off ebay or a junkyard. I bet you could find one cheap. Im guessing your old one broke?

yeah they have some decent looking APC wheels at Pep Boys for $50....
But I'm sure everybody will say 'but it's APC', judging from my last post about an APC product.

Its a really nice Personal wheel made in Italy...
It's actually for a boat! ahaha
It says Personal Marine on it.
But it was $43.00 CND brand new.
o yeah and its totally water proof LOL

Good for when you Submerge it after doing some insane drift losing control and going over the bridge and into the underlying river
Rest assured the 43.00 steering wheel is safe!

yup gap x guy has the right idea,u can get good vynil dye from any auto paint supply store,and then u can use oem steering wheel wrap for the part that gets touched all the time.that vynil dye in a spray can is aaight but it still tends to flake if you dont keep up with the armourall treatments

Damn..I must be looking at the wrong part...but its saying that its almost 50 bucks for a COVER on a 97 dx hatchy steering wheel cover....
