Default Anybody have a trunk lid install for 96-00 Civic Coupe?

Searched all over HT & google and couldn't find anything. From my understanding it's straight forward until you get to the trunk latch.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Yeah, it's 4 bolts. Then removing the existing trunk latch to put on other trunk lid. It's different than the hood. The latch is the hardest part and if it breaks you're sol until you can get a latch ordered from Honda. I don't want to ride around with a broken latch.

The previous owner either said swap latches or modify existing one. I'm not entirely sure and I need to know before I start taking things apart..

It is really easy man... You can just swap the lock mechanisms if you want, you don't have to swap the entire latch...

There are two star key bolts. You take those out and weasel the thing out. Disconnect the release cord, and re-install the new latch. Just dive in and you'll figure it out.
