Anybody ever replaced the CYP sensor IN the distributor?
I'm wondering if anyone has ever cracked into a distributor and actually replaced a CYP sensor. My DD 2000 Civic DX has a dying distributor. The CYP has a fault in it (intermittent). I have a random D-Series distributor (can't remember if it's OBD1 or 2) laying around and I was wondering if it's something that's doable to transplant CYP sensors.
I mean...all I really have to lose is time, right?
Has anyone actually done this successfully?

I've done it before. As long you have another CYP sensor from any OBD1 or OBD2 D or B-series distributor it will work.

I bought a 96 accord ex distributor but the plug dont match the engine harness out of my f22b2 motor because it has an external coil...so my question is do i need an accord ex engine harness? i want to keep everything obd2
