Default anybody ever put gsr muffler on their civic with aftermarket piping?

i am wanting to put a quiet muffler on my civic and can get a stock gsr axle back for cheap. i have a thermal exhaust right now and it is WAY WAY loud. im talking like you can literally hear it from a mile or more away if i am driving it hard. anyways i dont want to ruin my exhaust so im just going to modify the gsr axle back to bolt directly to the thermal pipe. will the muffler hurt my power much? i know ive seen gsr's on the dyno not gain much power from getting and aftermarket exhaust so im assuming it flows pretty good. thanks for any help given. later

a thermal is too loud?!?? PUSSIE!!!
<-- has a thermal classic on his 99 dx coupe

i do believe it's too long, but if it is just take it to a muffler shop and have them shorten it.

yea i dont have a cat but even before that (which was like a week ago cus i do have to go through emissions) it was loud as hell!! it sounds just like a straight pipe but i still have the resonator and muffler still on it. my friend has a thermal on his hatch with a b16 and it is a WHOLE LOT quieter than mine. i wish mine would be as quiet as his.i think my resonator or muffler is blown out or somethin. the exhaust is over 1.5 years old. im just tired of it being so damn loud and looking for easy and cheap alternatives that will still perform well

having a stock muffler with an aftermarket exhaust piping totally defeats the purpose of having an aftermarket exhaust piping.
