i walked in a local auto zone store yesterday and seen some QUAKER STATE HIGH RPM SYNTTHETIC OIL that came in 5w30 and 5w40. ive never seen this before..... have you?????????

I didn't see it yet but it was to be expected. All the oils are going into new competition with each other now that gas has gone up. Mobile 1 released it's "extended performance" crap and that's what pretty much set it off. Now there's this new one (forgot what it is that is supposed to make it so you don't have to change your oil until every 15,000 miles (which I say expletive dat, if u run same oil in your car for 15k I'm no gonna feel bad when you throw a rod)). Then there was this other **** that supposedly chemically treats your valve seals and makes them "like new" again. IMO, save the money and buy the regular ****, and regardless of what it says, change your oil every 3k or so. Just competition.

I agree with packthis.

Also, adding this oil to your car will not make it so you can rev 1000 RPM's higher safely. :-P

uhhh yeah i do change my oil every 3k miles.
i use VALVOLINE MAXLIFE 10W30 . i dont smoke or leak with 166k miles on my z6.

i just never seen a "high rpm" oil before. i just wanted to know if anybody used it before.
