Any way to "fix" a stock steering wheel....
Guys, been resurecting some old clunkers and many have the same steering wheel problem, the rubber seems to have come loose from the steel frame of the wheel. Some of these wheels are in perfect shape .....other than the "loose" top part of the wheel. Any body had any luck with trying to resecure the rubber to the frame. I hate a "twistee" wheel.

wrap safety wire around the rubber, holding it onto the metal frame/ring. use plyers so it's toighter than a tiger.
i could be misunderstanding your question, rephrase.

...I would just get a cheap aftermarket wheel. I had the same problem on 3 different Civics and just thought it was normal, cheap construction.
Maybe you could inject some sort of adhesive using a syringe?

I was thinking along the lines of your thoughts , Thumper, just wondering if some one had tried something like that. I have been getting "good"ones from the salvage yard but , am a fix it by nature kinda guy. I may try to find something injectable myself....
