ANY RELIABLE MECHANICS IN SOCAL (MONTEREY PARK AREA)?
I'm looking for someone to perform following work on my 96 Civic EX:
1) Change both front axles
2) Possibly replace bearings
3) Replace seals between motor & transmission
I took car to local guy, that my parents use, on Saturay. I was going to have him do work, but he couldn't remove axle from wheel end. He was unable to hammer it out. He was going to continue w/ that, but he wanted to warn me that in doing so, he might damage hub/spindle. If he did, I'd have to replace that also. I'm guessing he doesn't have access to press.
Basically, what I'm looking for here is someone who can do job properly w/out damaging non-broken parts. Someone you'd trust to work on your modified vehicles. Pep Boys charges $340 to change axles, but I'm hoping I can find something less expensive.
If you know someone, please provide me w/ name, contact info, & where they're located. I'd prefer if they were open on weekends. Thanks for help.

Kerechuk in Alhambra on Valley. They've been around for a long time, specialize in Hondas/Acuras. They do very good work. When I lived in an apartment, I had nowhere to work on my car, so had to take it in for major things like timing belt change and clutch change.

Kerechuk... is that name of shop, or name of somebody who works there? I'll look into it since that's pretty close to my parents' house.
