Any recently stolen white EGs in the bay area?
Hey people of Honda-Tech
Today I responded to a craigslist posting in Fremont. The shop the car was in seemed kind of shady. The car was a White 92-95 civic coupe EX model. Parts that were remaining included a possibly built d series motor with a red valve cover, all components for a turbo set up were missing. There was an Edelbrock Turbo setup sheet of paper inside. That what led me to believe that. The possibly stolen Civic also had Skunk2 rear camber arms, skunk2 suspension, trunk strut tower bar, Megan racing lower tie bar, and a JDM arm rest. The interior was grey. There was possibly a JDM center console that was already gone. It also had smoked tail lights and no OEM spoiler. Stock mirrors and no side markers. Pretty big dent in the passenger door towards the fender. No plates were on the car
The guy just seemed like he didn't know what anything was, yet something tells me he did. I reported this to my buddy who is an officer in santa clara.

Yes Sir I know exactly what a VIN is and where it is. Its just it would be awkward to stand there and write it down or something. Ya know?

I think I may need to. I may go with the phone approach. I'm gonna get my next check and go back. I'll grab the vin and pick up a useless part or something. So I don't seem so shady myself
